THEME: DO NOT BE AFRAID
In this 19th Sunday in Ordinary Time, Year A, the Lord Jesus tells us that times of terrible storm, difficult times, and trepidation are times that we should call on Jesus and focus on him alone. Peter walked with Jesus on the water and as long as he was focused on him, he could continue to walk across the water, but the moment he got distracted by the waves of the Ocean and was no longer focused on Jesus, he began to sink.
Dear friends,as we continue with our human and Christian pilgrimage here on earth, tough moments will surely come intermittently. In the midst of these waves of life, we must look unto Jesus, walk with Him who walks across water to bring you back into the boat of life and make you safe at all times and in all situations.
Do not allow yourself to be overwhelmed by the turbulence of life, but allow yourself to be overshadowed by the Lord Jesus who is able to overcome the turbulence and give you that same life in abundance. “Call to me and I will answer you.”(Jeremiah 33:3)
